Cookie Policy
Three cookies keep the service working. One is optional and is not set unless you say so. Accepting and rejecting are the same size button in the same place.

How consent works here
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are not strictly necessary may only be set with your consent. So they are not set before you choose.
The bar that appears on your first visit offers Accept optional and Reject optional as two buttons of the same size, the same weight and the same prominence, next to each other. Neither is styled to look like the easier one to press, neither is hidden behind a second screen, and closing the bar without choosing sets nothing.
You can change your mind at any time, on this page, using exactly the same pair of buttons.
What is set
| Cookie | Kind | What it does | Lifetime | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cuffkeep.session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in between pages. | Session, or 30 days if you ask to stay signed in | Not required — the service cannot run without it |
| cuffkeep.csrf | Strictly necessary | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session | Not required |
| cuffkeep.pecr.consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so you are not asked again. | 12 months | Not required — it exists to record your answer |
| cuffkeep.analytics | Optional — analytics | Counts page views and which parts of a reading get used, so the tool can be made less confusing. Aggregated; not used to build a profile of you. | 13 months | Set only if you accept |
There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no social media pixels on this site. How personal data is handled generally is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Optional cookies: not chosen yet
Strictly necessary cookies are always on and cannot be switched off, because without them you cannot stay signed in. Everything else is off unless you turn it on here.
Your browser can also block or delete cookies for this site entirely. Doing so may sign you out, but the tool will still run.
