Cancellation and Refunds
How to stop a subscription, what your statutory cancellation right is, the two things we ask you to tick separately at checkout and why, and the statutory form.
Last updated 5 September 2026
- Stopping a subscription
Open your billing page and press Cancel subscription. That is the whole process. It takes one step, it does not route you to a chat, it does not ask you to give a reason, and it does not require you to contact us first.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Your statutory right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to cancel a distance contract for a digital service, without giving any reason.
To use it, tell us clearly that you have decided to cancel — by email, or with the form at the bottom of this page. You may send it any time up to the last day of the period.
- When that right ends early, and how we ask
For digital content and digital services supplied immediately, regulation 37 allows the cancellation right to end early — but only if you have expressly requested that supply begin during the cancellation period and you have acknowledged that you will lose the right to cancel once it has been fully performed.
Our checkout asks for those two things as two separate tick boxes, neither of them pre-ticked. You can leave either or both unticked and still subscribe; the only difference is that your 14 days then run in full. The choice you make is checked again on our servers rather than being taken on trust from the browser.
Both statements are repeated back to you word for word in the order confirmation email, as the durable-medium confirmation required by regulation 16.
- If we fail to tell you
If we do not give you the cancellation information required by regulation 13, the cancellation period is extended. It runs for up to 12 months and 14 days from the day the contract was concluded, ending 14 days after the day we supply the missing information if we do so within that year.
- Refunds
Where you cancel inside the period and the right has not ended, we refund what you paid within 14 days of being told, using the same means of payment you used, with no fee for making the refund.
If you asked for supply to begin during the cancellation period, we may keep a proportionate amount for what was supplied before you cancelled, calculated against the total price of the contract.
None of this displaces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the service was not as described or not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
- Renewals
We also operate a further 14-day cancellation window after each renewal, and we send a standalone reminder email before every renewal. Those two things are implemented voluntarily, ahead of the subscription contract provisions of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 coming into force. See the Terms for the full description.
Model cancellation form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. You do not have to use it — any clear statement that you have decided to cancel is enough.
